Access and moderation
Voicey is not just the Discord bot that manages voice channels — it's a moderation-oriented voice bot. Several features are designed to facilitate moderation work on a daily basis.
🏠 Temporary voice channels for moderator control
Temporary voice channels also improve day-to-day moderation, as they give moderators real control directly from the channel's buttons.
Moderators are immune to ban, kick, and other restrictions applied by a channel owner, and can use the buttons to take back control, remove channel management, or correct an abusive situation.
🎙️ Recording feature
Voicey also provides a recording feature capable of recording and then transmitting the result within the framework set by the server.
In case of abuse, the command /recordban allows banning people who misuse this feature, without excluding them from the rest of the server.
🛡️ Dashboard bringing it all together
The dashboard aggregates this information and gives the moderation team a simple and efficient tracking tool. It enables a more detailed review of recordings, including per-user audio playback.
📣 Voice ban alerts and history
When a ban is applied in a voice channel, an alert is raised so the moderation team immediately knows what happened.
The history can then be consulted with the command /banhistoryto review voice channel bans with their context.
