FAQ - Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about Voicey.

❓ Does the bot need Administrator permission?

No. Voicey needs the permissions relevant to its mission, not a global administrator access.

πŸ›‘οΈ Who can access the dashboard?

The dashboard is reserved for moderators and server administrators with the necessary management rights. It's not an open space for all members.

πŸ’Ύ Where are recordings stored?

Voicey publishes recordings in the server's Discord log channel, with an archive intended for the dashboard. Voicey never stores recordings in a database.

🚫 Can you prevent someone from using the record feature?

Yes. The commands /recordban allow blocking a person from this feature without excluding them from the server or removing their access to standard voice channels.

🎧 Can a recorded voice be reused for another purpose?

No. A recorded voice must only serve to prove a violation of the server rules. Any reuse outside this framework is against the usage guidelines.

πŸŽ™οΈ Can you record in a channel that wasn't created by Voicey?

Absolutely! It's possible using the command /record while being present in the channel.
